CPEP provides internship opportunities to students interested in working
in the field of HIV/AIDS, Nonprofit Administration, Research, Education/Training,
Public Health, Social Work or other similar fields. Interns will have
the opportunity to be involved in a variety of activities such as, programmatic
marketing, assessing training needs, evaluating/debriefing training sessions;
conducting literature reviews and other research activities to assist
with compiling/developing training and technical assistance materials;
assisting with Website design; and assisting with CPEP program community
outreach.
CPEP accepts internship applications on a rolling basis. Interns who
are being strongly considered for our internship position will be asked
to participate in an interview. After the interview we will follow-up
with each applicant's references before making our final decision. When
completing the application we ask that applicants answer each question
to the best of their ability. If you prefer, you may complete the application
questions electronically (i.e., computer or typewriter), and attach them
to your application. In addition, all applicants should include a cover
letter and a resume or curriculum vita.
At this time we are only accepting one intern per term (i.e., fall, spring,
summer). However, if accepted the internship may be extend for up to 1
year. Please keep in mind that this is not a paid internship position,
nor do we provide housing support. We do provide a wonderful internship
experience in a supportive environment, as well as a great deal of hands-on
training. If an applicant is not accepted for an internship position we
encourage them to reapply.
