The Drop-in Service Center
The Drop-in Service Center is a comfortable and safe gathering place where Shanti clients can drop-in, meet and talk with other clients, speak with a Peer Advocate, a Treatment Advocate, or a Volunteer, review resource materials, or just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in a supportive atmosphere.
The Drop-in Service Center provides:
- Resources, Referrals and Educational Materials on HIV medication/treatment trials
and studies, housing, medical and mental health care, food and nutrition, support groups, counseling, free showers, and more
- Access to a Peer Advocate, a Treatment Advocate and/or a Volunteer for referrals, information or conversation
- Referrals to appropriate community resources and services in San Francisco
- Complimentary coffee and pastries (when available), occasionally complimentary clothing and books
- Socializing and supportive conversation with other Shanti clients
- A safe place to just sit and hang out. Harm reduction is practiced at Shanti. Everyone is
welcome
- Complimentary telephone use local area calls
- Discount cards (complimentary) for Rainbow Grocery 10% discount on food and 20%
discount on vitamins and supplements

Tuesday through Thursday 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

The Drop-in Service Center offers a safe space for people to gather and talk to a peer advocate or other staff; obtain a ride from transportation; pick up free tickets to social events, join a knitting, writing, or art class (offered at different times throughout the year); see a free movie or just have a cup of coffee.
