L.I.F.E. Program National Sites
The L.I.F.E. Program® is a health enhancement program conducted in a group format, with individual health counseling sessions attached to the group program. Sessions are conducted by mental health professionals, assisted by peer counselors, who present practical information from medical research, conduct experiential exercises to facilitate personal learning, facilitate large and small group discussions, provide individual counseling sessions, and make referrals to other community agencies as needed.
Participants are led through a process designed to help them (1) assess their performance on health-related cofactors, (2) identify obstacles in the way of maintaining positive performance, and (3) compile helpful tools and resources available in the local community. The results of these efforts are compiled in performance improvement plans (PIPs) that include specific action steps and timelines for change. The program also fosters a support network among participants that continues formally or informally after the program concludes.
Currently, the L.I.F.E. Program is available in various American cities (see list below). If you are interested in attending one of these programs, please use the contact information below to inquire about the next program start dates, how to register, etc.
