The Shanti Memory Project

 L.I.F.E. Participant Photo Exhibits

Shanti L.I.F.E.’s LGO Project (The "Altruism Project) presents "A Look at L.I.F.E.," a photo exhibit created by Shanti L.I.F.E. clients. In "A Look at L.I.F.E.," L.I.F.E. participants used images and text to examines and explore the life issues that have affected their health and well-being, as people living with HIV.

“A Look at L.I.F.E.” started its run in October 2008 at the Shanti offices. In November, parts of the exhibit traveled to several sites in the city with more photo work from our talented team of photographers including the San Francisco Main Public Library as part of a San Francisco Department of Public Health presentation raising awareness of HIV in Black Gay Male community. On December 1st, selections from the exhibit were shown at 111 Minna Gallery and at the LGBT Center to honor World AIDS Day and kick-off Shanti’s 35th year of serving the Bay Area community. The LGBT Center exhibited the photos for the remainder of December 2008 and January 2009.
