SENDING US YOUR STORY
Please read the following information before submitting your story.
The aim of the Memory Project is to bring together the people who have contributed so much to Shanti. We hope that the sharing of your remarkable stories will help to reconnect many of you for whom being of service has been important. To achieve this, we are requesting that past and present clients, volunteers, and friends or family members submit stories of special significance to them, along with a photo of themselves, and an email or other address where those who read their stories can contact them. The stories and photos will not only serve to inspire others, but may also allow people you knew in the past to recognize you.
- Your story may be any length
- Please write your story as a personal remembrance (in the first person)
- Please use only first names
- Out of respect for the privacy of Shanti clients, both past and present, the names of all clients referred to in stories will be changed. Please do not change the names before you submit the story, or we may inadvertently change the names back!
- The names of other people in the story will not be changed
The easiest way to submit your story to the Shanti Memory Project is to use the online form available in the "Step One" box at right. You can then submit your photo (in any format) as an attachment using the email link in the "Step Two" box.

A note about the "Contact the Contributor" feature: We are encouraging contributors to provide an email or mailing address so that people who read their stories can contact them. If someone clicks on this button under your story, a form will appear that they can fill out and send to you. The form will contain their contact information and their comments about your story. With this form, no one will have access to your email or mailing address. If you provide an email address, the form will automatically be forwarded to you by our secure server. If you provide a mailing address, the form will be forwarded to Shanti, and we will mail it to you.
