In The Spirit Of Service is a two-day workshop for those who serve as managers and coordinators of volunteers.

In The Spirit Of Service is a time for volunteer managers to be replenished. A community is formed among workshop participants, and every person's insights are welcomed into discussion. Workshop leaders facilitate the group in working with SNTI's perspectives on volunteer retention, screening, supervision and support, and training. These perspectives are grounded in a peer counseling model of support that is uniquely powerful in helping volunteers—and volunteer managers—sustain their commitment to service.

The workshop is kept small, with approximately twenty participants. Each participant receives an interview and needs assessment before the workshop. Afterwards, each organization represented is eligible for up to six hours of technical assistance from SNTI staff. Additional technical assistance is available.
