Shanti owns and maintains a fleet of 20 wheelchair-accessible passenger vans that are used to provide needed transportation services to seniors, the frail elderly, and persons with dementia as well as to Shanti clients.
 
All Shanti drivers are trained in the Shanti Model of Peer Support to listen carefully to their passengers and to provide supportive conversation when appropriate. Because of this added measure of care, Shanti consistently has been sought out to provide services through private contracts, including daily rides for seniors to and from adult day care centers.
 
Registered Shanti clients are offered the following services:

Shanti's passenger vans pick up Shanti clients at their residences (or other locations) and drive clients to their appointments and back home again.
 
Transportation is offered to and from:

• Medical appointments at a hospital, clinic or doctor's office.
• Mental health appointments for individual counseling

• Methadone maintenance clinic
• Dentist's office

• Optometry office
• Project Open Hand Grocery Center
