HIV Programs

HIV PROGRAMS

Our HIV Programs exist to ensure that underserved people living with HIV and/or HCV in San Francisco receive the compassionate, culturally competent support they need to manage their health and well-being.

Our HIV Programs offer nonjudgmental, harm-reduction based services that promote robust engagement by clients in their own healthcare. Our services allow individuals to connect with one another and overcome barriers to access much-needed resources, including medical and mental health care, housing support, food and nutrition, and counseling.

Specifically, our continuum of services are designed to provide:

  • Emotional and practical support through 1-on-1 staff engagement, peer support groups, individual health counseling, and Shanti Peer Support Volunteers.
  • Client Advocacy to assist navigation through the health care system.
  • Knowledge about HIV/HCV disease and treatment, and how to enhance health outcomes and increase quality of life, based on the latest medical research and health information.

If you would like to become a client of Shanti’s HIV Programs or for more information, contact Liliana Talero, Program Manager at 415-674-4737 or via email .
