Be a Beacon of Hope

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. We all have gifts to give, and there are many ways we can be a Beacon of Hope.

Below are a few key ways you can help support Shanti and San Franciscans in great need of care.

1. Donate and your gift will be doubled by Shanti’s Founder, Dr. Charles Garfield

Dr. Charles Garfield founded Shanti on the principle that every person deserves compassion, connection, and human dignity. In honor of the generosity of our volunteers and donors, Dr. Garfield will be matching all donations made November 30 through December 7, up to a total of $10K. Double your donation today.

2. Be a Shanti Peer Support or Pet Assistance Volunteer

Each year, hundreds of Shanti volunteers provide one-on-one emotional and practical assistance and/or pet support services to some of San Francisco’s most underserved individuals, from those with challenges such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses to isolated LGBTQ+ older adults and adults with disabilities.

3. Help Spread the Word

At a time when we are all experiencing the coronavirus pandemic, compassion, connection, and community are what bring us together. We all have the power to make San Francisco a healthier, more compassionate community, for everyone. Help spread the word about Shanti’s programs by sharing this page and video or emailing and telling us what Shanti or PAWS means to you.

Be a #BeaconOfHope and join us in #GivingTuesday, a global celebration of generosity!
